Salang tendrel for mini dry port construction held


The development of mini dry port was planned 15 years ago.

Once complete by the end of next year, the port will house over 45 heavy vehicles and is expected to ease traffic congestion in Phuentshogling town.

The congestion at the present customs clearing area is also expected to reduce as most trucks will then be diverted to the dry port. The port will be used as warehouse and for transshipping as well.

The mini dry port will be built on over five acres of land. Asian Development Bank will be funding the over Nu 130m project.

Launch of the Thromde Online G2C services sytem

Phuentsholing Thromde launched a Thromde Online G2C(Government -to -citizen) services system on 7th Feburary ,2017.The System was launched by the Cabinet Director and Dasho Thrompon of P/ling Thromde.The System comprises of 9 Thromde service pertaining to water supply, Building occupancy certificate, Building construction approval and sewerage among others.

Inauguration of Construction of slope stabilization and protection structures below rinchending goenpa and near old hospital under NAPA-II project.

InaugurationThe Construction of slope stabilization and protection structures below rinchending goenpa and near old hospital was inaugurated by Dasho Thrompon & Executive Secretary along with other division heads on 3rd September 2016.The work was awarded to US construction,thimphu for the contract price of Nu.28,405,587(Ngultrum twenty eight million four hundred five thousand five hundred eighty seven) funded by Least Developed Countries Fund (LDCF). The construction duration was of 15 months and will be completed by 28/08/2017.
